Tee Word is here with the New Orleans Saints Player of the Week for Week 2 of 2018! The Saints notched their first win of the season by limping past the surprising Cleveland Browns in 21-18 outcome. It wasn’t pretty Cheap Michael Thomas Jersey , but it’s a start. At this point in the last four seasons, the Saints were 0-2 instead of the current 1-1. After lighting up the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense in a Week 1 loss, it was hard not to give the player of the week nod to Drew Brees. But, I knew that in the absence of Mark Ingram for three additional games, Brees would be relied upon to drive the offense and put up high numbers to keep the Saints competitive until he had a reliable ground attack. Alvin Kamara did his part to earn the award and make it a close vote. Let’s not forget Michael Thomas having a career day that was only dampened by a fumble. As expected, the usual suspects were in line for the award and it was down to Brees, Kamara, and Thomas again. The defense offered a trailing entry in Cam Jordan who had 2 tackles on the day, both were sacks. But the process of elimination was very simple Cheap Alvin Kamara Jersey , if you’re on offense and didn’t score or turn the ball over, you were out – bye, bye AK41, sit here MT13. That left Brees and Jordan – hmm鈥eah, you know wuzzam, this was all Brees. When it mattered most, Brees was on point late and instrumental in the comeback win. Entering the fourth quarter, trailing 12-3, Brees and the offense came to life http://www.officialsaintsfootballstore.com/michael-thomas-jersey-cheap , rattling off 18 points to take the lead. Brees led the offense to their first touchdown of game by going 4/4, including the scoring pass on a 2 yard toss to Thomas making the score 12-10. After trading punts, safety Marcus Williams gave Brees the break he needed by intercepting Tyrod Taylor and returning the ball 22 yards into Browns territory. Brees went 2/2 for 13 yards and a TD pass on the drive, and aided by the 2 point conversion took an 18-10 lead late in the game. Of course the Browns would manage to tie the game on the ensuing drive. But Brees was not done. He calmly completed 2/2 for 50 yards to Ted Ginn Jr. ton set up a Wil Lutz field goal for the go ahead score, setting the final score at 21-18.The defense showed signs of improvement but the offense overcame two early turnovers to come on late and score 18 points in the fourth quarter. A trust test is on deck against the Atlanta Falcons, but the team appears to be shaping up just in time to face their most fierce rival. As always, Thanks for reading, Be Cool Who Dats!Alvin Kamara Most Underpaid Player on New Orleans Saints The New Orleans Saints still have a little bit of money to play with in the rest of free agency this offseason - roughly $4 million according to OvertheCap.com. This is even after spending a fair amount of money in free agency on players like Demario Davis, Kurt Coleman http://www.officialsaintsfootballstore.com/alvin-kamara-jersey-cheap , and Cameron Meredith and a new contract for QB Drew Brees. A slew of young players still on rookie deals is what made all of this possible for New Orleans. It should be no surprise then, that when Bleacher Report named every NFL team’s most underpaid player, one of those players on a rookie deal would make the list for the Saints: RB Alvin Kamara:Bleacher Report’s methodology involved weighing Pro Football Focus’s “Approximate Value” statistic (which is a popular stat among a certain few CSC readers) and the actual financial value of the player’s contract. So obviously a player picked in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft who went on to win the Offensive Rookie of the Year would be incredibly valuable. But now reports are out on Alvin Kamara, and there’s a year of film for opposing teams to study. On top of that, the Saints will be without Kamara’s compatriot Mark Ingram for the first four games of the 2018 regular season. It will be interesting to see if Kamara is able to put up similar “value” for the team this year.We can only hope.
